Local company seeks an entry to mid-level computer field technician. The ideal person will have training and knowledge to install, update, and monitor software and hardware.  Technician will help maintain computer essentials such as operating systems, software applications, and productivity tools with a heavy focus on networking and the installation of both hardware and software. This position will include initial installation of networking and systems as well as routine maintenance on existing systems.
 
Specific Skills and Knowledge Needed:
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with hardware aspects of PCs and servers including the ability to construct one from the “ground up” (willing to consider on-the job training for candidate with basic knowledge/experience)
  • Knowledge and experience with the configuration of networks and operating systems, especially local area networks [LAN] Windows 7.
  • Basic understanding of computer networking components including the design, installation, and implementation of new networks and diagnostics of existing network issues.
 
Travel will be required.
